SPRING TIME for me is like a GOLDEN EASTER EGG HUNT!!..
No Rod in hand…
Eyes glued to what's potentially lurking under the water,....scanning deep to shallow to deep constantly….
In practice for SPRING TIME tournaments, often NOT EVEN A ROD ON MY DECK… as I simply assess key areas to plan on returning during upcoming competition days!
Basically I'm taking a “CENSUS” of current Spawning Bass populations all around the lake I'll be fishing!!
Sure, I can throw a big swimbait ahead of me to hopefully draw up BIG FEMALES…and follow them back to a potential bed ahead of me (if that don't bite as I'm looking), but I usually wait for competition days to do that!!
