Livingston Lures Releases The Menace
Compact Rubber Muskie Jerkbait Built for Shad Systems and Forward-Facing Sonar
SAN ANTONIO, TX — March 3rd 2026 — Livingston Lures announces the release of The Menace, a versatile rubber muskie and pike jerkbait designed by acclaimed angler and lure designer Steven Paul. Measuring just over eight inches, The Menace was engineered specifically for shad-based systems and modern forward-facing sonar tactics.
Built around a pull-and-pause foundation, The Menace surges forward on the sweep, then drops aggressively at approximately two feet per second. On the pause, its rounded belly creates a pronounced rocking motion that mimics a wounded baitfish. The compact profile makes it highly effective as both a primary presentation and a follow-up bait in systems dominated by smaller forage.
The lure can be worked with upward pops to produce a vertical jump-and-fall cadence similar to a tube, or with short downward snaps that create an erratic side-to-side dart before the fall. This dual-action capability allows anglers to probe mid-depth structure, work shallow vegetation, or trigger reaction strikes over flats.
Fully optimized for forward-facing sonar, The Menace incorporates patented internal technology that enhances on-screen visibility and tracking at distance. Its streamlined body promotes long casts and a controlled, tangle-free descent, making it effective for targeting suspended roamers or structure-oriented fish.
At its core is Livingston Lures’ patented EBS™ (Electronic Baitfish Sound) Technology, replicating authentic biological distress sounds of baitfish to add a natural acoustic trigger in pressured or low-visibility conditions.
The Menace will be available in early 2026 through authorized Livingston Lures dealers nationwide and online at LivingstonLures.com.
